Profiling - efficient metal forming

Profiling technology includes a number of process variants. The most important are cleaving, folding, and rolling. In all procedures metal forming works in similar sequences; processing, however, consists of different steps. A fixed deep-drawn cup or an even blank is processed. Individual process steps are performed with differently contoured rollers. Radial metal forming procedures, as for instance profiling, are economical alternatives compared to other technologies. Therefore, for instance belt pulleys can be produced more efficiently than by casting or cutting.
